Night 1: Hanoi – Lao Cai by night train Vietnam Amazing Travel’s staff will pick you up at your hotel then take you to Hanoi railway station for a night train to Sapa (overnight on the train, the cabin with 4 berths, soft sleeper and air–conditioning), you can book the whole cabin or you can share with 2 other persons. There are several train depart from Hanoi station between 7:00PM to 10:00PM, the journey is about 8,5 hours, the end in Lao Cai Station. Day 1: Lao Cai – Sapa, trek to Ta Van village (B,L,D) The train arrives in Lao Cai at 6.30AM, Our Impress team will welcome you by your name sign. We drive up to Sapa about 50 minutes on Bus, you will be taken to a small guesthouse for a morning showers then your breakfast at a local restaurant here. After breakfast & short morning beak and have some last preparation for the trekking to villages At 10:00AM we leave the hotel and start trekking. The fist part is on the road but we soon turn to the right and walk on a small path down the valley to Muong hoa river and visit the Black Hmong in Lao chai. Black Hmong is one of the biggest minority group in Sa pa district. They are proud of their culture and keep their traditions way of living. They have their own language, wear traditions indigo bluclothing … After that you continue go to Ta van village to visit the Zay People. Zay is a fairly small minority group of 38.000.people who live in the mountains in the North west Viet nam. The development has meant that some of their old custom have been lost but many woman still wear tradition shits with purple, blue or green colour. The Zay houses are build in wood and bamboo with clay floor. We stay overnight with a local family in Ta van and have dinner there. (Trekking distance: 15 Kms) Day 2: Ta van – Giang Ta Chai – Ban ho (B,L,D) After the breakfast we continue to visit Red Zao people at Giang Ta chai village. Where we also see a waterfall. The Red Zao woman have very colorful embroideries and coins on their clothing. On their head they wear a red scarf. Some of the women have shaved off their eyebrows because of a nice Red Zao Legend. We continue go along small path in the rice filds, cross the Muong hoa river and trek to Ban ho village. We will stay overnight in wooden Tay still house If we reach Ban Ho in the early afternoon , you will have time to swim in a nearby the river. In the evening we have dinner with Tay family (Trekking distance: 18 Kms) Day 3: Ban ho – Sapa (B, L, D) After the breakfast you trek up to Ban Den place (3 Kms). From here you will be picked up and transfer back to Sa pa. In the afternoon you will have free time to experience the colorfull Sa pa market where women from diffirent ethnic minority groups come to the town to sell their products. Day 4: Sapa around – Lao Cai station (B) Today you are free at leisure, to visit around the town of Sapa (Dragon mount, Orchid garden, Waterfall…) or relax in town and inhale the fresh air. Leave Sapa by Bus in the late afternoon (5.30 PM) to Lao Cai station for our night train back to Hanoi.
